Nissan models we make keys for include: Altima, Rogue, Sentra, Versa, Kicks, Murano, Pathfinder, Frontier, Maxima — and more. Tell us the year and model and we confirm.
Nissan keys we make
- Transponder keys — plain-looking keys with a chip in the head, used on many older Altima, Sentra, Frontier and Xterra models.
- Remote head keys — key blade and remote in one, common on turn-key Versa, Sentra, Rogue and Frontier models.
- Intelligent Keys (push-to-start) — Nissan's keyless fob on most newer Altima, Rogue, Murano, Pathfinder and Maxima trims.
- Emergency key blades that slide out of the Intelligent Key, cut to open your driver's door when the fob battery dies.
Common Nissan key calls
Intelligent Key not detected. A weak battery is the usual cause, but a fob that went through the wash or was dropped too many times can stop working for good. We test it before selling you anything.
Key works, car doesn't start. Some start problems on Nissans come from the car rather than the key. We check that first, so you don't pay for a new fob that won't fix the problem.
All keys lost at a store or the beach. We come to the car wherever it is parked, make a new key from scratch and program it there, and remove the lost key from the car's memory where the system allows it.
Why not the Nissan dealer?
Without a working key, getting your Nissan to the dealer usually means a tow, then an appointment, and sometimes a wait for the fob to be ordered. We carry common Nissan keys and fobs, cut and program them at your car, and usually finish in one visit — often for about half the dealer's price.
