Jeep models we make keys for include: Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Compass, Renegade, Gladiator, Wagoneer — and more. Tell us the year and model and we confirm.
Jeep keys we make
- Transponder keys — chipped keys on older Wrangler, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Liberty models with a turn ignition.
- Remote head keys — key and lock/unlock buttons in one head, used on many turn-key Wranglers up to about 2018 and on Compass and Patriot models of that era.
- Fobik keys — the plug-in fob used on many Grand Cherokee and Commander years before push-button start became common, including the emergency blade that slides out of it.
- Flip keys — fold-out blade with a remote on many Cherokee, Compass, Renegade and turn-key Wrangler and Gladiator models.
- Smart keys (Keyless Enter 'n Go) — push-button start on many newer Wrangler, Gladiator, Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Compass and Wagoneer models.
Common Jeep key calls
Key lost with the top off. Wranglers and Gladiators spend weekends at the beach, the sandbar and the trail, and a key slips out of a pocket or an open cab. We cut and program a replacement at the Jeep so you don't need a tow home.
Down to one key. Many used Jeeps change hands with a single key. Adding a spare while that key still works is quicker and costs less than starting from nothing, and it keeps a second driver on the road.
Fob damaged by water or sand. Jeep fobs live a rough life. If the remote stops locking the doors or the dash says the key isn't detected, we check the battery and the fob first, then program or replace it if needed.
Why not the Jeep dealer?
With no working key, the dealer needs the Jeep in its service bay — a tow that gets pricey for a lifted Wrangler on big tires — then an appointment and sometimes a wait for a key to be ordered. For most models we bring the key, the cutting machine and the programming access to your driveway or parking lot and finish in one visit, often for about half the dealer's price.
