Ford models we make keys for include: F-150, F-250 Super Duty, Explorer, Escape, Edge, Mustang, Expedition, Ranger, Bronco Sport, Fusion — and more. Tell us the year and model and we confirm.
Ford keys we make
- PATS transponder keys — Ford's chipped keys on older F-150, Ranger, Explorer and Mustang models; the car won't start without the right chip.
- Remote head keys — key blade and lock/unlock buttons in one head, used on many Ford trucks and SUVs from about 2011 on.
- Flip keys — fold-out blade with a built-in remote, found on many Escape, Fusion and base-trim F-150 models.
- Intelligent Access smart keys — push-button start on many newer F-150, Super Duty, Explorer, Edge, Escape and Mustang models, plus the emergency blade inside the fob.
Common Ford key calls
One key for a work truck. F-150s and Super Duty trucks often get shared between drivers, and the second key disappears. Adding a spare while one key still works is faster and cheaper than waiting until both are gone.
Truck won't start, security light flashing. A flashing theft light usually means the truck doesn't recognize the key's chip — a damaged key or one that dropped out of the car's memory. We test the key and reprogram or replace it.
Smart key not found. "No key detected" on an Explorer, Edge or Escape is often a dead fob battery. If a new battery doesn't fix it, we check whether the fob is still programmed and make a new one if needed.
Why not the Ford dealer?
If you've lost every key, the Ford dealer needs the vehicle in its service bay — for a full-size truck that means a tow, then an appointment and sometimes a day or more waiting on parts. We bring Ford key blanks, a key cutting machine and programming equipment to your home, jobsite or parking lot, and for most models finish in one visit, often for about half the dealer's price.
