GMC models we make keys for include: Sierra 1500, Sierra 2500HD, Yukon, Yukon XL, Acadia, Terrain, Canyon, Savana — and more. Tell us the year and model and we confirm.
GMC keys we make
- Transponder keys — chipped turn keys on older Sierra, Yukon, Envoy and Savana models, often paired with a separate remote.
- Flip keys — fold-out blade with built-in remote on many turn-key Sierra, Terrain and Canyon models.
- Smart keys (push-to-start) — on many newer Sierra, Yukon, Acadia and Terrain trims, including Denali and AT4, with the emergency blade inside.
- Separate remotes — keyless entry and remote start fobs programmed to vehicles that start with a regular key.
Common GMC key calls
Sierra key lost on the job. A Sierra or Sierra HD tends to be somebody's work truck, and when its one key goes missing the day stops. We cut and program a new key at the jobsite or yard so the truck is back to work without a tow.
Remote start stopped working. A Yukon or Sierra remote that no longer starts the engine or locks the doors may just need a battery, or it may have dropped out of the vehicle's memory. We test it, then program it or replace it.
Only one Yukon key for the family. Full-size SUVs get shared between drivers, and the second key tends to go missing. A spare made while one still works is quicker and costs less than an all-keys-lost job.
Why not the GMC dealer?
With no working key, a GMC dealer needs the vehicle on site — and towing a Yukon XL or a Sierra HD costs more than towing a sedan — plus an appointment and sometimes a wait for the key to be ordered. We bring GM key blanks, a cutting machine and programming equipment to you, and for most models finish in one visit, often for about half the dealer's price.
