Acura models we make keys for include: MDX, RDX, TLX, ILX, Integra, TL, TSX, RSX — and more. Tell us the year and model and we confirm.
Acura keys we make
- Transponder keys — chip keys for older Integra, RSX, CL, TL, TSX and first-generation MDX models, many with a laser-cut blade.
- Separate remotes — the lock and unlock fob that rode on the key ring of many 2000s Acuras. It is programmed to the car separately from the key.
- Remote head keys — key and remote in one piece, used on some turn-key Acuras from the late 2000s and 2010s, depending on model and trim.
- Keyless Access smart keys — push-to-start fobs on most newer MDX, RDX, TLX and Integra models, with an emergency blade tucked inside.
Common Acura key calls
Key sticks in an older TL, TSX or MDX. After years of daily use, a worn key and a worn ignition cylinder often show up together. Copying the worn key just copies the wear, so we cut to factory spec and check the cylinder. Older Acuras use Honda-built ignitions, and Honda ignition repair is one of our specialties — see ignition repair.
One fob for the family MDX. A three-row SUV shared by several drivers tends to end up with a single working fob. Programming a second one while the first still works is a short visit.
Keyless Access fob lost, no spare. We make and program a new fob at the car and delete the lost one where the system allows it. On the newest Acuras, we confirm by year and model on the phone first.
Why not the Acura dealer?
An Acura dealer can order a key by VIN, but with no working key the car needs a tow, a service appointment, and possibly a wait for the key to ship. On older turn-key models, a dealer may quote a full ignition and key set when the actual fix is a cylinder repair and a correctly cut key. We diagnose at your car, cut and program on-site, and are often about half the dealer's price.
