Mazda models we make keys for include: CX-5, CX-30, CX-9, CX-50, Mazda3, Mazda6, MX-5 Miata, CX-90 — and more. Tell us the year and model and we confirm.
Mazda keys we make
- Transponder keys — plain chip keys for older Protegé, Tribute, early Mazda6 and other turn-key Mazdas from the 2000s.
- Flip keys — the folding key with the remote built in, used on many turn-key Mazda3, Mazda6, CX-7, CX-9 and early CX-5 models.
- Smart keys (push-to-start) — fobs for Mazdas with a start button, including most newer CX-5, CX-30, CX-50, CX-9 and Mazda3 trims. Walk-up unlocking depends on the trim.
- Emergency keys — the small blade stored inside every Mazda smart key, cut to open your driver's door.
Common Mazda key calls
Used Mazda with one key. The Mazda3 and CX-5 are common used-car buys in South Florida, and many come with a single key. A spare made while that key still works costs less and takes less time than starting from zero.
Miata keys by year. An MX-5 that only comes out on weekends often has just one key. Miata keys range from a plain metal key on the earliest cars to a smart key on newer trims, so tell us the year when you call and we'll confirm what your car uses.
Worn blade on an older Mazda. Turn-key Mazdas from the 2000s wear their blades down until the doors and ignition get stubborn. We cut new keys to the original depths instead of copying the worn one.
Why not the Mazda dealer?
A Mazda dealer can make a key, but it wants the car in the service lane. With no working key that means a tow, an appointment, and sometimes a wait while the key is ordered by VIN. We cut and program at your home, office or parking lot, usually in one visit, and often for about half the dealer's price. For any newest model we can't program yet, we tell you before we book.
