Dodge models we make keys for include: Charger, Challenger, Durango, Journey, Grand Caravan, Dart — and more. Tell us the year and model and we confirm.
Dodge keys we make
- Transponder keys — chipped turn keys on older Neon, Stratus, Intrepid, Caravan, Dakota and first-generation Durango models.
- Fobik keys — the plug-in fob on many Charger, Challenger, Journey, Avenger, Grand Caravan and 2011–2013 Durango models, with the hidden emergency blade cut to your door lock.
- Flip keys — fold-out blade with remote on many turn-key Dart models.
- Smart keys (Keyless Enter 'n Go) — push-button start on most later Charger, Challenger and Durango models and on some Journey and Dart trims.
Common Dodge key calls
Fobik cracked or buttons dead. A Fobik gets pushed into the dash every time you drive, and after years of that the case splits or the lock button stops working. We check whether a new shell will do or whether the fob needs to be replaced and programmed.
Minivan key missing. A Grand Caravan with kids, car seats and a school run usually has one key that everybody borrows — until it disappears. We make a new key at your home so the van doesn't have to be towed anywhere.
Charger won't start, key not detected. On push-button Chargers, Challengers and Durangos, a weak fob battery is the usual culprit. If a fresh battery doesn't clear it, we check whether the fob is still programmed and replace it if needed.
Why not the Dodge dealer?
A Dodge dealer wants the car in the shop to program a key, so with no working key you're paying for a tow, waiting for a service slot and sometimes waiting again for the key to arrive. For most Dodge models we program the key at your driveway, office or apartment garage in a single visit, often for about half the dealer's price.
