Buick models we make keys for include: Enclave, Encore, Encore GX, Envision, LaCrosse, Regal — and more. Tell us the year and model and we confirm.
Buick keys we make
- Transponder keys — chipped keys for older LaCrosse, Lucerne, Century and LeSabre models. Some Buicks from the early 2000s have their security sensor in the ignition rather than a chip in the key, and we handle those too.
- Flip keys and remote keys — used on many earlier Enclave, LaCrosse and Regal years and on most Encore models.
- Smart keys (push-to-start) — on most 2017-and-newer Enclave, LaCrosse and Regal models and on the Encore GX and Envision, often with remote start and power liftgate buttons.
- Emergency blades inside smart fobs, cut to open the driver's door if the fob battery dies.
Common Buick key calls
The spare disappeared years ago. Many Buicks around Boca Raton have had the same owner for a long time, and the second key went missing along the way. Adding one while the first key still works is the simplest job we do.
Fob works the doors but the car won't start. A weak battery can open the doors and still fail to start the engine. We check the battery, the fob and the car's key memory before selling you anything.
Key lost after a move or a trip. Keys go missing when people downsize, travel or switch cars between family members. We make a new key at the car and, where the system allows it, remove the lost one from memory.
Why not the Buick dealer?
Buick service departments are usually shared with GMC, and with no key the car has to be towed there and wait for an appointment. For most Buick models we bring the key, the cutting machine and the GM programming equipment to your driveway or parking space and finish in one visit — often for about half the dealer's price.
