BMW models we make keys for include: 3 Series, 4 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series, X1, X3, X5, X6, X7 — and more. Tell us the year and model and we confirm.
BMW keys we make
- Older transponder and remote keys — laser-cut keys for older 3 Series, 5 Series and X5 models that turn in the ignition.
- Remote keys for push-start slots — the rectangular keys that plug into the dash on many mid-2000s to early-2010s BMWs.
- Comfort access smart keys — keyless entry and push-button start on most newer 3 Series, 5 Series, X3, X5 and other models.
- Emergency blades inside BMW smart keys, cut to open the driver's door when the fob battery is dead.
Common BMW key calls
Down to one key. Many used BMWs in South Florida change hands with a single key. A spare made while you still have a working key is the easiest BMW key job and costs less than starting from zero.
Key not recognized. A "key not detected" message or a car that won't start with the key inside can be a worn battery, a damaged key or a key that no longer matches the car. We diagnose it before replacing anything.
All keys lost. We cut a new blade to your locks, read the security module and program a new key for many models. On some years this means working on a module under the dash, and on some of the newest models it isn't possible outside the dealer — we check first.
Why not the BMW dealer?
A BMW dealer usually needs the car on site, so no key means a flatbed tow, a service appointment and often a wait while the key is ordered. For the many models we can do, we bring BMW keys and programming equipment to your home or office and finish in one visit — often for about half the dealer's price. If your model is one that needs the dealer, we tell you before anyone drives out.
