Hyundai models we make keys for include: Elantra, Sonata, Tucson, Santa Fe, Palisade, Kona, Accent, Venue, Veloster — and more. Tell us the year and model and we confirm.
Hyundai keys we make
- Flip keys — the folding key with lock, unlock and trunk buttons used on most turn-key Elantra, Sonata, Tucson, Santa Fe and Accent models.
- Transponder and cut-only keys — for older Hyundais and for turn-key models built without an immobilizer.
- Smart keys (push-to-start) — on many newer Sonata, Tucson, Santa Fe, Palisade and Kona trims.
- Emergency key blades inside smart keys, cut to your driver's door lock.
Common Hyundai key calls
Flip key broken at the hinge. The spring-loaded blade on Hyundai flip keys wears out and snaps. We replace the shell or cut and program a new key, depending on what's damaged.
Ignition damaged in a theft attempt. Some turn-key Hyundais without an immobilizer have been targeted by thieves who break the ignition. On many models we can repair or replace the ignition cylinder and cut matching keys — see ignition repair.
Smart key not detected. Start with a fresh battery in the fob. If the "Key not detected" message stays, we test the fob and program a replacement if needed.
Why not the Hyundai dealer?
With no working key, the dealer usually needs your Hyundai towed in, then an appointment and a wait for the key to be ordered. For most models we come to the car, cut and program the key on the spot, and finish in one visit — often for about half the dealer's price. When a newer model truly needs the dealer, we tell you that before anyone drives out.
